including patient assessment, psychiatric diagnosis, and medication management. Psychiatric nurse practitioners offer
holistic, long-term and short-term assistance to patients. They assess, diagnose, and prescribe medications while taking
into consideration the biological, psychological, and social contexts and development of their patients.
KristinaKruchowski, PMHNP-BC is focused exclusively on patients with psychiatric illness and mental health concerns. She specializes in diagnostic assessments and psychopharmacological (medication) management for adults. She has extensive knowledge and experience in diagnosing and treating Mood Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety and Panic Disorder, Major Depression, Schizophrenia and Other Psychotic Disorders, Trauma and PTSD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Substance abuse and dependency, and other mental health conditions.
Kristina Kruchowski, PMHNP-BC is a board certified Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She holds a Masters of Nursing Degree from Valparaiso University in Indiana. Kristina also attended Valparaiso University for her undergraduate degree in nursing. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Kristina has more than 24 years of service in mental health and 17 of those years as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She possesses in-depth knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness. Kristina regularly collaborates and confers with other health care providers related to patient care.
Kristina is an Alaskan resident of 11 years. She worked for many years as a registered nurse and an advanced practice nurse in a variety of settings to include community mental health care, inpatient psychiatric hospital care, corrections, private practice, and eight years working with our veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs. Kristina was the recipient of the Veterans Health Administration Secretary Excellence Award for Advanced Practice Nurse of the year and a member of the Veterans Health Administration Nurse Profession Standard Board Committee from 2010 - 2015. Kristina has experience as a clinic nurse manager of an inpatient Behavioral Medicine Unit. She has taught mental health nursing as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing at Purdue University North Central and was a clinical instructor for her alma mater, Valparaiso University in Indiana. Kristina is the sole owner of Confidential Care, LLC.
